Ornal
The Ornal were an intelligent species of magnesium based lifeforms who lived all over Argo in the era before the Age of Creation. They have been believed extinct since the The Katastrofiatheían Extinction War , but rumors of a few speciment surviving in the Underdark have been around since the days of the Melistern Empire.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Ornal had an exoskeleton which supported the indivisual from outside, 4 flexible legs without joints, 2 smaller tentacles that also worked as both mouths for feeding and as communication organ. It could also take a different form, freely becoming more wider, getting a patern inside or becoming thin and slender like a knife.
Biological Traits
The Ornal is a magnesium based lifeform, still having the need to be fed with energy and breathe in oxygen. On the other side, it would breath out magnesium-oxide, or magnesia in the form of periclase. Although the Ornal breath it out in very fine form, they do leak the white crystal everywhere they go.
This has all been made possible by the fact that the Ornal have very strong lungs, so strong in fact, that they were able to breath out with such power, that the periclase would work as a sand laser of sorts, being able to wend off various other creatures.
