Abilities: Leadership

Leadership is a skill similar to the talent Persuasion but leadership is much more sophisticated because it requires access to a position of authority (whether real or imagined) and training to leverage that authority well. Another significant difference between Persuasion and Leadership is that Persuasion involves getting people to believe certain ideas, whereas leadership is about getting people to make a coordinated action based upon your character’s commands. With Leadership, a character's subordinates do not have to understand or even trust their logic—they just have to be willing to respect (or fear) the authority of the position their leader possesses. When using the leadership skill, roll Intelligence + Leadership to concoct your initial plan. The better the plan, the more likely people are to follow your orders without deviation. Next, roll Manipulation + Leadership to convince others to do what you say. Finally, if your character is leading their people directly into action, roll Wits + Leadership to execute the plan in concert with your subordinates, making micro changes to the plan as the tides of battle rise and fall.
