Jekuro “Twice-Sung” Amari
A Mwangi man in his early forties with smooth amber-brown skin, expressive hands, and a voice like wind over hollow wood — low, melodic, and rich with meaning. He dresses in ceremonial performer’s robes stitched from countless regional styles — jungle silks, coastal weave, desert-dyed scarves — each embroidered with the glyphs of rewritten stories.
His face is painted subtly in the tradition of four different cultures, and beneath his left eye is a tattoo of a split spiral: one path truth, the other interpretation. He carries a collapsible staff used in storytelling dances, and a veil of thin, rune-marked silk that he sometimes wears over his mouth while performing.
Jekuro stands wherever the Loom needs to be heard — village squares, thrones, burning front lines — and speaks not to convince, but to resonate. When he finishes telling a story, people often feel changed and can’t say why.
