Platus
Platus is a young male alseid who now resides in Gwylla's, where he assists her with daily tasks and rituals. Once the apprentice of a Feywild Forest Warden, an esteemed protector of balance and natural law, Platus was dismissed after acting recklessly during a planar disturbance. Believing he could seal a blighted rift on his own, he underestimated the lurking dangers and failed to call for his mentor’s aid. Though the rift was ultimately closed with the party’s help, the consequences of his pride and inexperience were grave. Shamed by his failure, Platus chose not to return to his former life and instead accepted Gwylla’s offer of shelter in the Grove, quietly seeking a new path.
He is on the younger end of alseid maturity, just past the threshold of adolescence by his people’s standards. His frame is slender and agile, with the lightness and precision typical of his kind. From the waist down, he bears the graceful, spotted lower body of a deer. His upper half is humanoid and lithe, with a narrow build that reflects the meditative and disciplined lifestyle of his people, whose traditions blend druidic communion with nature and the introspective discipline of monks.
Two antlers rise from his brow, each branching into four slim points. Though not suited for combat or display, these antlers serve a vital purpose: they function as a natural magical focus, allowing Platus to attune to the ambient magics of the world around him. His hair is short and wispy, chestnut brown with faint black lowlights, often tousled by the breeze or the motion of his travels. His eyes are alert and warm-toned, marked by a quiet reserve. He wears a plain beige shirt, worn but clean, one of the few personal items he retained after his dismissal.
Platus speaks infrequently but listens closely, his presence in the Grove marked by diligence and humility. Though he carries the weight of his past misjudgment, his actions reveal a desire to grow and re-earn a place of purpose. In the stillness of the Moonlit Grove, he seeks not redemption through glory, but through quiet service and reflection.
