Kalindra Nyx

(a.k.a. The Stormsinger)

Kalindra Nyx is a reclusive sea elf cleric known throughout coastal circles as the Stormsinger. Ancient and enigmatic, she dwells deep within a kelp forest off the coast near Waterdeep, where she communes with the divine forces of the sea through ritual and storm. Her presence commands quiet reverence—stoic, steady, and otherworldly in her calm. Mortals who seek her out do so only when in dire need, for her visions are not freely given and rarely comforting. Though not well-known among surface dwellers, her name holds weight among aquatic communities and those attuned to elemental magic.   Though her precise origins are unknown, Kalindra is believed to have lived beneath the waves for centuries, possibly dating back to the early migrations of the Tritons from the Plane of Water. Her home, a coral-shrouded shrine hidden in the tangle of kelp and reef, is both a sanctuary and a place of spiritual trial. When Brontes came to her seeking the truth behind his uncle’s death, Kalindra performed a powerful divine ritual. Calling upon the storm, she received a vision not of a face, but of a truth: the killer was a soulless abomination crafted in the Hells, shifting and hidden in plain sight. She warned Brontes that this enemy could not be faced alone.   Rather than naming names, Kalindra offered direction. She spoke of a group of landwalkers, soon to seek a mystic of the stone-bound depths, Umbren, the object reader. With this, she set Brontes on a path not of vengeance, but of alignment. Her guidance was clear but incomplete, as is often the way with divine truth.
