Jheri Nardel
Jheri Nardel is an aged red dragonborn merchant and retired artificer who played a formative role in Kostas Rell’s early life. Once a prominent figure in the Trades Ward, she now lives a quieter life, though her influence lingers in the lives she helped shape.
Jheri was once the guardian of Briza, Kostas’s late wife, and it was through Jheri’s introductions that Kostas and Briza first met. She recognized potential in Kostas early on and helped him take his first steps into the world of enchantment. Though she was many years younger in physical age than the half-elf she mentored, she often treated him like a grandson and referred to him as such.
Her love for Briza extended naturally to Kostas, and even long after Briza’s death, Jheri remained a protective figure in his life. Though largely retired, she remains connected to the world of magical craft and trade, and could easily become involved again should anyone she cares for be in danger.
Jheri is sharp-tongued, stubborn, and unfailingly loyal. She has no patience for arrogance, but plenty of room in her heart for those trying to do right by others. Her past as a respected artificer grants her the occasional pull in merchant circles, but these days she spends more time reflecting on the lives she's shaped than on the magic she once wielded.
