Cucumber Corsair
The Cucumber Corsair (known at various times as Cumberbeard the Briny, Cornichon the Conqueror, or simply Kevin) is a half-orc street vendor and self-proclaimed pirate who roams the North Ward by day, selling his signature pickles from a barrel-turned-pirate-cart. His mobile stall, complete with a painted Jolly Roger and a mast no taller than a broomstick, is as theatrical as its owner. Dressed in a brine-stained shirt and a tricorn hat large enough to obscure half his face, the Corsair draws crowds with his booming voice, salty banter, and ever-changing tales of maritime misadventure.
Despite, or perhaps because of, his eccentricity, the Cucumber Corsair has become one of the most recognizable figures in the North Ward’s daytime market scene. His pickles are popular, his prices unpredictable, and his delivery punctual, if unusually dramatic.
The owners of the newly reopened Frightened Ferret are currently trying to secure distribution rights to sell his pickles at their tavern. Kostas even ordered a barrel of 100 pickles in hopeful preparation. However, without the Corsair’s express permission to advertise or resell them, the Ferret’s briny ambitions remain in negotiation limbo.
