Aarakocra are a rare but visible part of
Waterdeep’s population. Most are migrants from distant peaks or planar enclaves, drawn to the city for trade, scholarship, or civic engagement. Though some residents may gawk at their appearance, Aarakocra in Waterdeep are just as likely to be seen writing columns for the
Wazoo, running small businesses, or working in logistics-heavy guilds where their aerial mobility is an asset. While their physiology can be a nuisance in the city’s narrow alleys and low ceilings, most adapt easily.
