9: Slimes, portals and darkness (22-23rd of Ches)
The party proceeded through the remains of the bugbear lair, investigated a damaged teleportation arch, failed to open a door and then got SLIMED.
While exploring a corridor lit by magic candles you found a magical mirror, Jacq worked out how to activate it and Thal dispelled the magic lock.
After passing through the portal the party were confronted by four dead dwarves. Oxy looted the slimey corpses and came away with a giant emerald while Tucker came away with 4 daggers.
Jacq became obstinate after trying to open the large doors to the west. After a short rest the party proceeded to the east then through the doors south, which opened onto a room shrouded with darkness. The darkness hid a shifting statue which Tucker identified as the Drow god Ghaunadaur. Thal went crazy and opened the door, revealed a huge lounge filled with high quality furniture bearing spider motifs, all broken and strewn about.
