6: Fey Day (19-20th of Ches)

As promised, Raenaer escorted the group to the Fey Day party at the Ulbrinter Villa. The villa was located a few blocks south of The Haunted Dragon, 10 ft brown stone walls surrounded the estate which encompassed a whole city block. The large three story main house is joined by a covered walkway to a smaller wooden building that you assume to be the servants quarters. The roof of a large stable complex is visible near the northern gate while a smaller building is visible on the south western wall.

As you approached three footmen dressed in blue and white livery were helping nobles out of their carriages and checking invitations. You pause for a couple of minutes, waiting your turn as Raenier reiterates "Remember lots of these people will be stuck up arseholes, whatever happens don't insult them and by all means don't strike them he says pointedly looking at Jacq. He then chuckles and spreads his arms wide but its a party enjoy yourselves. With this he strides forward, presents your invitations and you are all ushered inside. The sound of harps, violins and laughing intensifies and you observe a range of glittering colored lights floating around the yard. The courtyard is broken up by clumps of trees which serve to segregate the various entertainments while waves of glittering fire roll forward and back over the large pond. After an introduction to the hosts, Lord Christian and Lady Eilien Ulbrinter, Raenear leaves you to your own devices. The party snags some food and drink and feeling a little out of place strike up a conversation with some fellow adventurers. Cyclone recognized Oxy and struck up a conversation while Jacq was accosted by a flamboyantly dress man with a female Drow on each arm.

The man introduced himself as Zardoz Zord, proprietor of a great travelling circus that sailed from port to port. He seemed intrigued by the presence of three Drow and invited the party to dinner the following day. The two Drow women, Thal and Luigiana, took the opportunity to escape Zardoz's embrace and left the manor with the party.
Raenear catches up with the party in the taproom of the Haunted Dragon later that night with the young Lady Esvele Rosznar in tow. Raenear has told her of your exploits in rescuing him and she is hoping you can help recover her brother Kressando, a 22-year-old man with fair skin and dark curly hair and a platinum signet ring.The Rosznar family has had a somewhat checked past and some of the more disreputable branches have gotten him involved in restarting the slave trade in Skull port. She offers the party her jewelry, which they turned down, as well as a favor and the goodwill of a powerful noble house.
The following evening on the way to their dinner date at the docks the party witnessed some unusual clouds, lightning and magical phenomena out over the bay. As they got closer it was clear that one of Zardoz's ships had been destroyed and that no bodies, survivors and wreckage could be found other than ship parts. The group rowed out to the surviving ships to offer their aid but were turned away by the watch. While on the ships the three Drow party members noticed they each looked a little strange.
