Ardelia D-30
Warden Lookout
“No matter your weapons, your numbers, You will not get past me. For I am a Warden! And we are the wall that does not break!” – Last words of Ardelia D-30
Despite Ardelia D-30’s no-nonsense attitude and strict demeanor, she was well loved by her Wardens, who would jokingly refer to her as Big Mama (although never to her face.) The origin of her Deimos accent is unknown, but rumors circulate that she took it up to honor a fallen squadmate after his death. An up-and-coming Warden in her younger years, Ardelia became Lookout after a climactic battle on Sirona, where she and a small team of Watchmen defended a field hospital on the outskirts of the city of Honnoh from non-stop Cryptic assault for over 72 hours. She was the first Mechan to be promoted to the position of Lookout. Ardelia D-30 met and worked with the Troubleshooters several times over their career, most particularly with Aria, over whom she had direct authority as her Lookout. A resilient fighter well-known for her toughness, the Warden finally met her end during battle with the Titans in the WAR Compound. Finding her team trapped against a locked door and under heavy fire from an advancing Titan platoon, she sacrificed herself to give her teammates a chance at completing their mission and preventing more Titans from flanking them. Her body could not be recovered.
Her funeral ceremony was attended by almost a thousand Watchmen. The Warden community was devastated after her death, and her position as Lookout was left vacant for several months, with Charlie Damascus performing some of the more necessary duties. Though lacking in tact and social graces, Ardelia was a brave warrior who will be sorely missed by those who knew her.
