Tar'ran

Tar’ran is known as the party planet of the galaxy. The yearlong festival of light and colour attracts billions of tourists to the planet on a regular basis. It is a situated in a binary system with two suns creating intense heat and increased daytime the nights lasting only a few hours. Being that the festival is nomadic and constantly on the move, there are no designated landing strips or ports. As such tourist transports and ships have adopted the many plateau mountains that dot the landscape worldwide as landing sites. Since the festival never stays in one place for longer than a week and the majority of income and trade occurs there, many of the Shan'all traders travel with the festival and as such there is no large capital of trade on Tar'ran. All settlements on the planet, though plentiful and rich are small and simple so that, when the festivities reach their town, the whole area can be encompassed in the party without sections being passes over or left out.

The settlement shown above has been evacuated due to an A237 invasion. Despite the foreign occupation and determined to miss the nomadic party, the local Shan'all set the festival on the outskirts of the town and carried on whilst the pirates contained the Droids within in the settlement boundaries.

Geography

Tar’ran is a desert grassland planet. The terrain is filled with plateau mountains that interrupt the desert landscape and provide shelter from the dual sunlight. There is very little water and most life on the planet has developed to need little hydration and can siphon what they need from the moisture in the air. Being that there are no large bodies of water, the planet has no continents or separated landmasses.

Fauna & Flora

Tar'ran is the home planet of the Shan'all. Their species spreads across the whole planet. It is also home to many desert based non-sentient species but little flora can grow under the harsh dual suns.

Natural Resources

The planet is known for its famous party festivals and wares, as well as the patented clothing and building designs of the Shan'all that capture moisture from the air, keeping the wearing or inhabitant cool.
