Lunaran

A species made through an incident involving a chemical implosion that formed life from the environment of the incident. The Lunaran are formed of the same materiel as the moon they evolved on, but have since developed into a biological species separate from their home habitat. They are known for being extremely technologically advanced, particular in the field of weaponry.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They have an outer crust of moon rock instead of skin. Under the crust is a mix of solidified chemical gases. The crust layer has cracks and gaps in it, much like molten lava, showing the glowing gas underneath. The crust layer is only absent on the scalp, where the gas flows freely in a way much like a flame does.

Genetics and Reproduction

Being that the Lunaran have no internal organs, it is unknown how they reproduce only that they somehow do. Some theorise the reproduction is closely linked to the environment that originally spawned the species, as every Lunaran will return to Euturn C3 should they wish to breed. Lunaran reproduction has never been witnessed to occur outwith of the moon colony. Whether the proximity to their natural habitat is what allows them to reproduce or if the environment is actually involved in the process  is unknown.

Ecology and Habitats

They have no internal organs and therefore no lungs and do not require a breathable habitat. Their home environment has been adapted and advanced as their technological knowledge increased and now houses many highly advanced city settlements.

Facial characteristics

The Lunaran have no visible facial features however sometimes the gaps between the crust layer can form symbols and shapes. Despite having no facial features this does not impact their hearing, vision or smell senses.

Civilization and Culture

History

The incident that brought about Lunaran life on the moon Euturn C3 came about after the illegal dumping of chemicals after what is thought to be a deal gone bad by a smuggler group. The leaking chemicals mixed with the native chemicals and substances found on C3 and caused an implosion that resulted in the Lunaran species.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

The luminous gas contained in their bodies can span in colour. These neon glowing colours span the entire colour spectrum.
