Ishaya Vess Sentinel of the Silent Isle
Ishaya Vess, the Sentinel of the Silent Isle is or was a High Elf commander.
She spent decades learning the way of the bow and spear in the militia of Lothern and choose to become one of the Sea Guard once she realised she wanted to live the life of a warrior. For centuries she served the Guard, sailing across the world, fighting various enemies and encountering the strange customs of the other, younger races.
Her ferocious fighting style and discipline boosted her reputation and as a Sea Master she learned the skills of leadership and the duties that were required of those who garrisoned the outposts across the sea of Claws. Ishaya was then appointed by the Sea Lord Aislinn, the master of the Phoenix King’s fleet to lead units of Lothern Sea Guard. She became a trusted lieutenant to the Sea Lord, embraced by his most long serving staffand was given command of the massive fortress and garrison of the Silent Isle.
After several diplomats were captured by Beastmen whilst traveling to Castle Bastonne, word reached Ishaya and she set sail for the Castle to ask permission for an expedition to recover them. After a week of flattery and formality, Duke D'Andellyon IIX recognised her plea and after a speech that payed tribute to the links between their two peoples granted permission. He even offered to ride forth with his knights but Ishaya, although thanking him also told him Korhil and his Lions were already on the hunt in the the Forest of Châlons.
