Yvelia

Yvellia is a large island nation within The Golden Islands that is characterized by its many mountains and forests. Despite the lack of abundant resources, the people there have managed to thrive through their expertise in crafting weapons, armor and slave trading. The majority of the population are slaves, farmers or mercenaries.
Under the leadership of King Trenos II, the grandfather of the current ruler Queen Mavis Varyion, Yvellia began to expand its territories through conquest. However, this expansion came at a cost, as the country resorted to exploiting prisoners and using slave labor to improve their mining operations. As a result, Yvellia has become a powerful military force with an economy built on conquest and slavery, perpetuating a warrior culture.   To the Yvellian warriors, conquest is the most honorable thing, and fighting an opponent in a fair fight and coming out victorious is the pinnacle of honor. While the warriors embrace conquest, the farmers fear the spread of slavery to their lands, and the warriors themselves hate it under the current reign of Queen Mavis Varyion. The Yvellian government is known for its harsh treatment of prisoners and slaves, but their treatment of those with magical abilities is particularly cruel. The government captures those with magical talents and forces them into slavery, using their abilities for their own gain. These slaves are often worked to the point of exhaustion, with little regard for their well-being.   Rebellion against the Yvellian government is primarily led by the bandit tribes, with the Iron Dragons being the most notable of the groups. However, their leader, Vladdin, is aging. Rumor says It seems that there are three potential successors to Vladdin who could take up the mantle of leadership for the Iron Dragons. Pelkin, a Satyr who is known for his ability to have fun and party, has the loyalty of the bandits through his jovial personality. Iona, a powerful half-orc warrior, is respected by the bandits for her strength and prowess in battle. Tharin, an elf tactician and sailor, is known for his strategic thinking and often advised Vladdin on the best methods to take.   It's unclear who among the three potential successors would be the most suitable for leadership, as each brings unique strengths to the table. Ultimately, it may be up to the Iron Dragons themselves to decide who they believe is the best person to take up the mantle of leadership and guide them in their rebellion against the Yvellian government.   Celebrated for its rarity, magic is an integral part of Yvellian culture. The military boasts a separate branch dedicated solely to magic users, where they can hone their skills and utilize their abilities in combat. In honor of this cherished art, the people of Yvellia have established a day of celebration solely devoted to magic. This annual event is marked by grandiose displays of magical prowess, with individuals from all over the land showcasing their abilities. From conjuring illusions to summoning elements, this day serves as a reminder of the unique bond shared between Yvellians and magic. Overall, the celebration of magic in Yvellia is a testament to the nation's rich history and unique culture. Despite the challenges and conflicts that the nation faces, the people of Yvellia continue to honor and cherish their connection to magic, and remain determined to preserve their traditions and way of life for generations to come.   Contrary to magic, Yvellians do not adhere to any particular religion, but they do have legends that have been passed down through generations. One such tale is that of King Alondrius, who first unified Yvellia and laid out the warrior culture that is still revered today.Another legend tells of Alondrius's son, who made a pact with a demon and merged with it to defeat his father, overthrowing him. The legend states that if necessary, the Varyion dynasty can merge with demons to expand their lifespans and magical and physical abilities.   While Yvellia's military might and expertise in crafting weapons and armor has allowed them to thrive, their reliance on conquest and slavery has also caused them to become increasingly isolated from other nations. The use of prisoners and slaves has led to growing unrest among the common people, who fear that the Yvellian government will expand the practice to other areas of society. This has fueled the rebellion led by the Iron Dragons, who seek to overthrow the Yvellian government and put an end to slavery.   Yvellia is a complex nation with a rich history and culture that is characterized by its magic, warrior culture, and prosperity in slavery. However, these very same attributes have also caused unrest and conflict within the nation, with rebels seeking to overthrow the government and put an end to the practice of slavery.
The bandit tribes, also known as the Iron Dragons, are a group of rebels and outcasts who have banded together to overthrow the Yvellian government. Composed of former prisoners, slaves, and mercenaries, the Iron Dragons are a diverse group with a wide range of skills and backgrounds. Despite their disparate backgrounds, the Iron Dragons share a common goal: to put an end to the Yvellian government's practice of slavery and exploitation. To this end, they have launched a rebellion against the government, raiding their supply lines and attacking their troops whenever possible.
As the Iron Dragons struggle with their internal power struggle, rumors begin to circulate that Queen Mavis Varyion has been secretly funding one of the potential successors to the leadership of the rebellion. This news has sent shockwaves through the Iron Dragons, as they begin to question whether their leader has been playing them all along. As the rumors about the Queen's involvement in the Iron Dragons' power struggle begin to spread, tensions among the potential successors come to a boiling point. Pelkin, Iona, and Tharin each have their own suspicions about the Queen's true motives and fear that they are being used as pawns in her larger political game..
In recent months, rumors have begun to circulate about a new tactic employed by the government to capture magical slaves. It is said that they have started sending out boats with private guards to kidnap those with magical abilities from the surrounding islands. These boats are heavily armed and often accompanied by powerful magic users who are able to incapacitate their targets. Once captured, the slaves are taken to undisclosed locations and forced to work for the government.   Despite the danger, some magical users have continued to resist the government's efforts to capture them. They have formed secret societies and underground networks to protect themselves and their fellow magic users, using their abilities to evade capture and spread information about the government's atrocities.   The Iron Dragons have also become a sanctuary for these magical refugees, offering them protection and a chance to fight back against the government's tyranny. But as the conflict between the Iron Dragons and the Yvellian government escalates, the fate of these magical slaves remains uncertain. Will they continue to suffer under the government's oppression, or will they find a way to break free and reclaim their freedom?
