Primal's Chosen
Siegfried Alexandre Blaiddyd was born to nobility, the youngest heir of a proud but long-forgotten family. His childhood was one of peace and privilege, but that life was ripped away in an instant when a monstrous shadow obliterated his family, leaving him with nothing but the burning memory of their loss.
The trauma was so deep that the clerics who found him, seeing his broken state, sealed away his memories, leaving him an orphan with no past to speak of. He awoke in an unfamiliar world, haunted by a sense of something missing but with no understanding of what. Siegfried grew up in a humble orphanage, his soul shaped by loss and loneliness. Despite his past, he developed a quiet sense of responsibility, protecting the younger children and caring for his fellow orphans.
It was in this environment that he met Scippio, a boy with a troubled past that mirrored his own. Together, they discovered an ancient temple, half-forgotten by time, buried beneath the slums. The temple seemed to call to Siegfried, drawing him to its crumbling walls, where they began restoring it. Little did he know, this sacred place was devoted to two ancient Primals: Freya, the spirit of affection and the wind, and Kali, the spirit of passion and fire.
The temple, which once housed these spirits, began to stir as Siegfried worked to restore it. Freya, the motherly, forthcoming spirit of affection, gently began to weave her essence into his life, while Kali, the bold and brash spirit of fire and passion, flared up with every burst of his determination and inner strength. But Siegfried remained unaware of the true power building within him as he toiled alongside his friend, breathing new life into the forgotten temple.
The fateful night of the festival was meant to be a celebration of their hard work and success. But disaster struck when masked mercenaries raided the temple, setting fire to its walls and slaughtering everyone within. Siegfried fought valiantly, but he was overwhelmed, and in the chaos, he was gravely wounded. As he lay dying amidst the flames, the Primals chose that moment to intervene. Freya and Kali, sensing his strength and his unwavering desire to protect those he loved, fused their spirits with his. Freya's gentle, protective nature filled him with warmth and compassion, while Kali's fiery passion and fierce drive ignited his resolve. Together, they saved him, bringing him back from the brink of death. In that moment, Siegfried was reborn, not just as a survivor, but as a vessel for two powerful, contrasting spirits.
Now, Siegfried carries the dual influence of Freya and Kali. He is gentle and protective, like the wind, feeling a deep, motherly concern for those he holds dear. Yet, when necessary, he becomes bold and brash, his passion and fire igniting his actions. With his memories restored and his connection to the Primals solidified, Siegfried now walks the world with a new purpose.
To seek justice for the destruction of his home, to defend those who cannot defend themselves, and to uncover the deeper mysteries of the forces at play in the world. As he grows into his role as the vessel of both affection and passion, Siegfried knows that the spirits of Freya and Kali will always be with him, guiding his path and shaping his destiny.
