Undercommon

Just as Common developed as a lingua franca for the surface world, so too did the Underdark develop one as well. A mix of Drow Elvish, Dwarven, and various other languages spoken underground, Undercommon is a guttoral and ineloquent language, but gets the job done when the denizens of the Underdark come together to speak.

Writing System

Undercommon uses the same runic alphabet as Dwarven, with a little bit of Tengwar script thrown in for good measure.

Geographical Distribution

Undercommon is the main spoken language of the entire Underdark.
