The Language of the Elves

Elvish, or Quenya, as it is called in its own tongue, is the language of the Elves. While the various subspecies of Elf may have different dialects, each speaks Quenya at their base. It is used all over the world, as it is a very old language, and highly potent when used for magic.

Writing System

The Quenya alphabet is called Tengwar, and has 36 common symbols. It is a complex writing system, akin to real-world kanji utilized by the Chinese and Japanese.
