Walica

Walica revolves around three things, the Gifts, the Gods, and the number Nine. Although Walicans are vastly different in their beliefs, cultures and practices, they share commonality in the use of the nine Gifts to better themselves and their nations, but despite conflicts that inspire division, the world is far more interconnected than the citizens can begin to understand. The gifts follow the trend of Life, Space and Time, three gifts under each. While individuals can be creative within their gifts using ingenouity, practice and power to do anything they can choose to within the scope of their gifts, they cannot change the gifts they were born with. The two exceptions to this are the Galvanings who have 2-3 gifts but are significantly weaker than other gifted individuals, and the Havenings whose gifts are poorly understood but who gain their abilities from absorbing and killing other gifted individuals through touch. The other person is completely vaporized in the process. The gods reflect the gifted in that there are 9, some more known than others, some more worshipped than others, but one God for each gift, whose worship and worshippers have changed the world for better or for worse, fictional or not, the people of Walica understand their world through the stories and lessons that their religions teach. The governments of Walica are far reaching, but the people are far more connected through traditions, stories and folk knowledge than even the government can know. Each government has their own way of controlling their population, but all have agreed to erase all trace and kill all Havenings following "The First War" over 1000 years prior. This is the only thing they have all agreed on in as many years. This was also when the boarders of the countries were established. The world of Walica is complicated, beautiful and above all interconnected despite the desire of each country for supremecy.
