Eltyrion (El-tear-ree-on)
Eltyrion are a bipedal race of Equine humanoids, they are a fairly common race amongst both civilised and tribal cultures and are known for increased strength, endurance and are capable of the fastest running speeds of any bipedal race.
Appearance
Eltyrion have a rounded skull leading forward into a broad angular snout that sits between their forward facing eyes either side of their head. They have long, pointed, expressive ears between a flowing mane of hair from the back of their head and down the length of their necks. Eltyrion have thick skin covered in a layer of short fur. Female Eltyrion have a pair of mammary glands upon their chest for breast-feeding their young.
They have round coloured pupils surrounding a circular iris sitting in the center of white sclera's. They have flat teeth with a set of canines at the front of their maws.
Eltyrion have three thick fingers and an opposable thumb on each hand, with each digit terminated in round flat fingertips with thin nails on each. They stand on digitigrade legs, supported by strong hooved feet.
Eltyrion have short tails with long straight straw like hairs growing from them, the hair usually reaching half of the individual's standing height in length.
Typically, their blood is red.
Physiology
Eltyrion are Mammals who give live birth, they reach an age of sexual maturity at the age of 17 and physically peak at the age of 80, reaching their elderly years in their 150's. They are Omnivores with teeth designed for meat, fruit and vegetables, all of which resemble more flat like molars. They have fairly average immune systems.
