Buthren (Buf-ren)
Buthren are a bipedal race of bovine humanoids, they are a less common race amongst both civilised and tribal cultures and are known for their incredible strength and durability.
Appearance
Buthren have a rounded skull leading forward into a broad rounded snout that sits between their forward facing eyes either side of their head. They have long, rounded, expressive ears between a flowing mane of hair from the back of their head and down the length of their necks. Buthren have thick skin covered in a layer of short fur. Female Buthren have a set of large mammary glands with longer teats called udders resting on their lower bellies for producing milk.
They have round coloured pupils surrounding a circular iris sitting in the center of white sclera's. They have flat teeth with a set of canines at the front of their maws.
Buthren have three thick fingers and an opposable thumb on each hand, with each digit terminated in round flat fingertips with thin nails on each. They stand on digitigrade legs, supported by strong hooved feet.
Buthren have shorter slender tails ending in a tuft of hair.
Typically, their blood is red.
Physiology
Buthren are mammals who give live birth, they reach an age of sexual maturity at the age of 17 and physically peak at the age of 70's, reaching their elderly years in their 100's. They are Omnivores with teeth designed for meat, fruit and vegetables, all of which resemble more flat like molars. They have fairly strong immune systems and their females always produce milk after they reach sexual maturity.
