Nulda’nothrim
The Nulda'nothrim, also known as Jungle Elves are a subspecies of Elf inhabiting the Rostaure Jungle.
Basic Information
Biological Traits
Although sharing many features with their Elven cousins such as the characteristic pointed ears and their slender appearance. The Nulda’nothrim can be easily identified by traits unique to their subspecies.
These Jungle Elves are smaller than their brethren ranging from well under 4 feet to 5 and a half feet tall. weighing only 90 to 140 pounds. Males and females are about the same height, and males are only marginally heavier than females. Although slender the Nulda'nothrim appears naturally more muscular than other subspecies of Elves.
The Nulda'nothrim are also unique in skin tone and Iris shape giving them a more animalistic appearance than the other Elven subspecies inhabiting Vulara. The Jungle Elves have no facial or body hair.

Social Structure
With the exception of the city Syreithel the tribal communities that the Jungle Elves form are extremely small and close-knit. They value their traditions and customs and, perhaps most of all their privacy in the depths of the jungle.
Many of the tribal communities look to Syreithel for leadership in matters of governance and faith and as a result, all but a small minority are Matriarchal societies in nature.
Facial characteristics
The Nulda'nothrim share the signature pointed ears and Ethereal beauty of their Elven cousins. Their eyes are slightly larger than that of their cousins and feature an elongated Pupil. Iris colourings are generally Yellow, although bright greens and blues are not uncommon. Violet or Orange eyes are exceptionally rare, cropping up only two to ten times in an entire generation.
Their hair tends toward browns, blacks and deep reds, but it is occasionally known for a Jungle Elf to have Silvery white or even dark green hair.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
The City of Syreithel contains the largest concentration of Nulda’nothrim. However small tribal villages hidden among the trees, nomadic family units and lone wanderers can be found throughout the Jungle.

Major Language Groups and Dialects
Nulda'nothrim associate more often with the animals of the Jungle than with any other beings. Their isolationist tendencies have corrupted the only racial language they know Elvish; however, some do learn the languages of various creatures of the Jungle.
Common Dress Code
The Jungle Elves clothing is much less gaudy than one would normally expect from an Elf. The focus of their clothing is to allow the wearer to blend with the woods easily, created from natural materials harvested or hunted within the Rostaure jungle itself. The practical utility is valued far above aesthetic when it comes to everyday clothes and all but the most important ceremonial items contain little to no ornamentation.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
The Nulda’nothrim are often described as wild and temperamental. This is true to the extent that these elves are a very emotional people. They live with their hearts, not their minds. Whatever they feel, they know it is the right answer.
Logic plays little part in their lives, for logic cannot save one from a charging Tyrannosaurus rex, or the grip of a giant constrictor. Intuition and strength are all that counts in the Rostature Jungle.
Their lives are geared toward the simple matter of survival in the deadly jungle environment of their home, rather than enjoyment. Yet these elves find that this life, more than anything else, gives them their greatest pleasure. Not for them the sophistication of art and delicate music. They prefer a simpler life. Their music is that of wind through leaves, the howl of wolves, and the cries of birds. Their art-in the form of tattoos-is inspired by their Jungle home and all that inhabit it.
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
Although elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100 and can live to be 750 years old.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Jungle Elves are an independent folk and do not lightly brook intruders into their forests. Anyone, even another elf, who even draws near to a Nulda'nothrim encampment will have a constant, unseen escort until the intruder leaves the area. Unless the camp is directly threatened, the Nulda'nothrim will leave the intruder strictly alone.
Although they are of elven descent, Nulda'nothrim tend toward total neutrality. This is not out of any inherent evil, but only out of a desire to be left alone. They do not care about the proceedings in the outer world; only when such acts impact their realm do they take interest. Even then, that interest is only in removing the nuisance and in returning to the jungle as quickly as possible.
although their contact with outsiders is usually limited, a small number of elves make a good living by trading with the outside world, exchanging crafted items for metals that the Nulda'nothrim have no interest in mining themselves.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Skintones range from earthen colours through to more pale tones of green, grey and an almost bluish-white. Skin is often adorned with Tattoos or painted with pigments found within the Rostaure Jungle.
