It comes from Hematite and Geothite as Rich Ores and mulitple others in weaker Ores.

History & Usage

History

The Founding of Iron was Revolutionary, It was an somewhat simple source of strong metal for tools and weapons and also for building and other things. When The Murkur People were discovered and communicated with Mass amounts of Chromium were given too Zumuri and Steel was first Made making Extremely Strong Metals

Discovery

First Discovered on Sumu by Zumer Tribes in the Njmer Forest about 6 Miles in from The Gresjel River, downstream by about 36 miles of the Fork with the River Njkuri

Everyday use

Used as Cheap Tools, Weapons, Armour and some building materials

Cultural Significance and Usage

No Significance with Zumer Tribes

Industrial Use

The Metal is used for the Creation of Steels, and is also for mass Beams to be shaped into Weapons and Tools, and thinner sheets to be made into Armour

Refinement

The Smelting of Pig Iron is needed in a Bloomery Furnace, the slag comes out of the bottom and then a bloom of Iron metals needs to be worked with tools into Wrought Iron (Low Grade Iron)

Manufacturing & Products

Swords, Arrowheads, Chestplates, Helmets, Nails, Axles, Wire

Byproducts & Sideproducts

Lots of Slag is produced when making the Bloom of Iron from Bog Iron but from the Mines there is slightly less Slag produced

Hazards

Extremely Hot

Environmental Impact

Exhaust gases

Reusability & Recycling

The Metal can be re-used by melting back down within large crucible into Molten Iron

Distribution

Trade & Market

The Metal is Traded between all Zumer Tribes and also with the Murkur people in the Southern Mountains, it is a widely used but slightly Rare Metal

Storage

it is Extremely easily stored, as it can be moulded and worked to form shapes

Law & Regulation

There is a law within the Zumer Tribes that throwing away as waste is Illegal, meaning that if a weapon or tool is broken then it is re-used by Melting down
