SM19+20 - Melf
General Summary
Pemma Harrody decodes most of the Black Book, and the party fight the monsters summoned by it. Afterward, they visit Huaba and find a resurgence in the black dust sickness there.
Three-Quarters Done
From the Black Book, the party learns what appears to be the backstory of The Wanderer. A full description of each page can be found here. Every three pages, the book summoned monsters based on the images produced by the page as a way to discourage people from reading the entire book. The party defeated these with relative ease, as Tikvah pointed out after the first one that they could trap whatever was summoned in a Magic Circle.Huaba
After running out of scrolls of Magic Circle in Celonar, the party travelled to the cloud city of Huaba with Pemma and Acquilano, the latter of whom served as guide through his home city. After noticing a resurgence in the black dust sickness, the party met up with Eylon Busk, one of Tana's contacts who was recently sent to the city. He noted that those who came down with the sickness all headed to the same medical facility for treatment, a healing shrine associated with the Giantkin god Papûtask.Starting Date
