Nurtawar (Deepwood)

Nurtawar (known as Deepwood in common) is a confederation of forest villages in Southeast Rhovra. Populated exclusively by Wood Elves of Rhovran ancestry, the territory is ruled by a council of elders from the numerous small villages who meet as needed to discuss common issues. These issues include repelling intrusions by those who the Nurtawari wish to keep out of their territory, especially Elves from the kingdom of Taurtofna, from whom their land won its independence in 3125 AK. Nurtawari pride themselves on self-sufficiency, so they gather and hunt all their food and refuse economic interaction with outsiders.
