The mregian civil war of 3034

After the death of an unstable and cruel empress with no heir. This prompted a civil war for the throne, and everyone wanted a piece. Technically when a king dies with no heir, the closest family member becomes the new King or Queen. Technically an Emperor didn't fall within this definition, and nobody much cared anyway.     The war included 3 parties.   The loyalists were: House Hokra, Nyrivus, Tukmyr and Kiggra. The strongest houses of the Empire.   The Claimants: House Pofgyt (Tekai pofgyt), Metalli and Besseri, who had been forced into the war.   And lastly, House Hyfel wanted to at least attempt to grab the throne.     The outcome would seem obvious, an easy Loyalist victory, but not so. The Hokrans had grown complacent in their place as ruling house, and were never too worried of a civil war. House Pofgyt on the other hand had been planning on taking the throne for some time, and their technology was quite advanced. With a mix of Absolute Air Superiority, and their brutally efficient ground troops, Pofgyt were a force to be reckoned with. Aldyr fell within a week, as Kessedriel Pofgyt led an army to attack, and kill the Hokran Claimant to the throne, Fasida Okander. If Fasida dies, the Hokrans have no claim to the throne, and the war would end without much death or destruction. Kessedriel fights Guy, who has been assigned to protect the Okander family. She destroys his prosthetic arm, and kills Fasidas' parents, who divert her attention long enough for Guy to escape with Fasida.   In the north, Nyrivus is having trouble with Hyfel at the border wall. They have serious firepower (Supplied by House Metalli) and are causing the Nyrivus army a hell of a lot of trouble. This keeps the army from joining the fight to stop Pofgyt/Metalli forces from advancing towards Advar. At sea, the Kiggrans are being thwarted by the total Air superiority of Pofgyts airships and planes. They can't send their army either, Coastal towns across the continent are being besieged, and it's all Kiggra can do to keep those towns safe. With Nyrivus and Kiggra effectively out of the war, all Pofgyt has to deal with are Hokra, and Tukmyr, who have lent their mechanised army to the defence of Advar, but nothing else. Tukmyr never intended to take part in the war, due to how destructive their vehicles are.   The Pofgyt/Metalli/Besseri army eventually arrives outside Advar city, the capitol of the Empire. Neither side wants the city to be besieged, but with Fasida safely delivered to the palace, it seems inevitable. The Inevitable will have to wait, however, as Fasida is found assassinated in a bombing by her own protector; Guy, whom swiftly disappears. With the Hokran claimant dead, Pofgyt marches into the city unchallenged, and Tekai Pofgyt takes the throne.   The war ended only 2 months after it began.
