WONDERING LOCATIONS RULES
Wondering Locations Rules
Trigger:
When a party is wondering/exploring and rolls a 3 or 4 on a d6, instead of a creature encounter (1–2), roll on the Wondering Locations Table.
Result:
The adventurers stumble upon a notable location. These may be ruins, shrines, lairs, landmarks, or oddities.
Player Options:
The party may choose to investigate the location.
If investigated, the location is added to the campaign map and becomes a permanent feature.
Each player character who participated gains +1 XP for discovery.
Dungeon Master Role:
The DM determines the details of the location (using the Wondering Locations Table, improvisation, or pre-written lore).
The DM sets up the situation (hazards, NPCs, treasure, riddles, empty ruins, etc.).
The location can be revisited later if mapped.
