LEVELS OF DUNGEONS RULES
DUNGEON DIFFICULTY LEVELS
GENERAL RULES
Difficulty is determined by creature power, trap severity, environmental hazards, and treasure. Each tier assumes a party of 4 adventurers. Higher difficulty means higher risk and reward. Treasure scales with danger.
TIER 1 – NOVICE (Levels 1 to 3)
Creature Stats: HP 1 to 50, basic attacks only, low saving throws
Traps: Pitfalls, darts, minor poison
Environment: Small caves, basic ruins, minor hazards
Treasure: Mundane gear, low runes, 1 to 50 copper
Party Expectation: Beginners learning mechanics
TIER 2 – ADVENTURER (Levels 4 to 8)
Creature Stats: HP 50 to 200, moderate attacks, 1 to 2 abilities
Traps: Swinging blades, poison gas, collapsing floors
Environment: Flooded caves, unstable ruins, ley flickers
Treasure: Moderate weapons, armor, runes, 50 to 200 copper, low pyrexium
Party Expectation: Requires coordination
TIER 3 – VETERAN (Levels 9 to 14)
Creature Stats: HP 200 to 500, unique attacks, 2 to 3 abilities, some resistances
Traps: Magical glyphs, ley bursts, lethal hazards
Environment: Lava rivers, cursed ruins, fractured ley zones
Treasure: Rare gear, enchanted items, 200 to 500 copper, mid pyrexium
Party Expectation: Needs planning and resource management
TIER 4 – CHAMPION (Levels 15 to 20)
Creature Stats: HP 500 to 1000, multiple attacks, legendary resistances
Traps: Complex traps mixing physical and magical
Environment: Collapsing dungeons, shifting floors, hostile ley fields
Treasure: High grade gear, rare runes, 500 to 1000 copper, high pyrexium
Party Expectation: Experienced parties with specialization
TIER 5 – MYTHIC (Levels 21 to 25)
Creature Stats: HP 1000 plus, boss tier with arena wide effects
Traps: Reality warping, ley distortions, soul binding curses
Environment: Active ley fractures, void caverns, planar shifts
Treasure: Legendary artifacts, relic gear, unique runes, 1000 plus copper, legendary pyrexium
Party Expectation: Requires perfect execution, possible allies
SCALING SYSTEM
Creatures gain 100 to 200 HP per tier, 1 to 2 extra attacks, and 1 to 2 new abilities
Traps progress from mundane to lethal to magical to reality bending
Treasure value increases 3 to 5 times each tier
Environments progress from stable to fully unstable and hostile
