CURRENCY RULES
The economy of Vorrengarde is based on a Copper Pound Standard. All coins are struck in “pounds” of varying metals.
STANDARD CURRENCIES

RULES OF USE
Standard Use: Copper, silver, gold, and platinum pounds are universal and accepted everywhere.
Pyrexium: Only accepted in magical shops, ley markets, and among arcane traders. Cannot be forged or counterfeited. Its glow reveals authenticity.
Celestium: Rarely traded. Most often used as direct payment for magical upgrades. Weapons upgraded with celestium gain permanent magical effects without rune sockets.
Weight: Each coin weighs 1 lb per 100 coins, regardless of type. Large hoards can slow travelers.
Trade Systems:
Cities favor gold and silver.
Villages trade mostly in copper.
Nobility and nations deal in platinum.
Magical societies use pyrexium.
Legendary forges, celestium.
