Founding

Giants kin and other races fled from further north, eventually touching the furthest tops of the Vontian coast. The most notable of these migrants would be the Dwarves. Immdiately they grew in touch with the land, staking their claim as the masters of the north. Though this would not happen gently.

When the Giant's kin and the Dwarves intended to flee the north, they met Vontian waters on the way south. During this time the five kingdoms had just begun their formation, mortal life spreading over the great plains, mountains, forests, and hills of Vontia.

Edas Lurkneard. The first dwarf to stand atop the mountains and call them home paved the path for his people, the giant's kin scattering through the snow and the tundra. They as separate entities as opposed to one group. While they had fled together, they were far from friends and hardly allies. There was a silence that would not impede on the others.

Soon, the rest of the humanoids that treaded north to the snowy mountains, away from the kingdoms behind. They met the dwarves, and the giant's kin. In decades to come, when the borders were drawn, the north kingdom formed with a Firebolg upon the North Throne. The first and last as the rest...fell to their fates.

There were others in the north as well, notably the Verbeeg, a less than good representations of the Giants. They banded together wickedly, and while the dwarves and giants kin previously agreed to not impede on one another, they clashed. The dwarves stood with the other races that called the north home, making enemies of the Giant's kin. A conflict ensued, where the Verbeeg, Goliaths, and other Giant's kin banded together. They were nearly wiped out, while strong in nature they were no match for the weapons forged from the Dwarves, weapons honed to cut through even stone. In the hands of magic and vis wielding races that now inhabited the snow, the Giant's surrendered. Those that remained isolated and alone, scattering never to be seen again. Some that claim sightings of the Giant's kin are rarely listened to. After all, why would they resurface only to be wiped out again.
