Duke Laszlo Periklis is a respected leader who, it's theorized, could have potentially united Marken under a single leader for the first time in its history. His court was well-run, and he was liked by the common people of his city.

Periklis led his troops in battle when the forces of Burn attacked Marken, and he held his ground as many civilians managed to escape. He managed his own escape with a handful of men as Burn's forces grew overwhelming.

He has done his best to convince other nations to provide support to his military effort to take back Marken from its invaders, and he has received a fair amount of support thus far. He is one of the four leaders commanding the joint military effort at the border of Marken.
