Atrenes (ah-TREN-ess)

Atrenes was founded by the refugees from Western Kafre'en who fled the rise of Burn. Since then, it has become a thriving city although not to the same extent as Marken across the Bay of Kafre'en.

Recently, it was conquered by neighbouring Burn, but no one knows why there was such a sudden military action by the rival nation. Considering almost 170 years of mere border skirmishes, the sudden assault has confused the rest of Volara's governments.

Now, the descendants of those who formed Atrenes find themselves refugees once again.
