The Dark One

Behold, the Father of Damnation. The Liberator of the Enslaved. The Bringer of Chaos. The Devourer. The Destroyer. The Usurper.

Origin

Once, The Dark One was the chiefest of all the Arch Celestials. He was both wise and powerful. But he came to be filled with pride, and his pride lead to his downfall. The Dark One was consumed with hubris, and sought to make his mark on creation. When The Three began their work on shaping and building the universe, The Dark One lay in wait. On the twelfth day, when The Three had completed The Forging , The Dark One manifested on Vitcoona's surface as a serpent. He fragmented himself and went to tempt each of the new pairs of Forged beings. All were deceived, and all broke their agreements with The Three at the tempting of The Dark One. Thus, The Dark One made his mark and forever tainted Creation. This act of treachery sealed The Dark One's nature, and condemned him to a path of damnation and destruction permanently. Since he was a Celestial, betraying The Three marked him as a dark being. That one choice forever marred him, and rendered him incapable of good. He made his choice, and will forever bear the weight of it upon his very being. He is the chiefest and greatest Demnoss. A blight on the universe, he is.

Goals

The Dark One has but one goal: to overthrow The Three and assume Their throne. He plans to do so by harvesting Creation to grow his own power. He is engaged in a campaign of corruption upon Vitcoona, and he intends to use Vitcoona's Solar Pylon as a connection point to the rest of the universe. Once he corrupts Vitcoona, The Dark One will expand his influence to all the seeded worlds and corrupt them too. He will use the power gained from feeding on Creation to overthrow The Three and remake Creation in his own image.

Fate

The Dark One is cursed to one day be defeated and cast into the City of the Damned. There he will persist; tormented and punished for eternity, he will be. The Father of Lies will be reduced to a prisoner, and left to rot forgotten and chained ... forever.
