Personal history
Farbirk was born to the leader of an orc clan, Gorga Kriger, who faked Farbirk's death shortly after she was born, and sent her away to live in the Thorellian Empire, away from the orc culture of Kyligtera. Farbirk was adopted by Cynthia and Harry Ironanchor, a sailing family from the southern province of the Empire. At the age of 10, Farbirk's life changed again when her adoptive father disappeared during a sailing journey, never to return, leaving her and her adoptive mother to fend for themselves with the savings they had. At the age of 14, she discovered a large tree washed up on the shoreline, and received inspiration from the Wildmother, the patron deity of the sea and wilderness, who guided Farbirk to carve the tree into an instrument to channel magical power. At 18, Farbirk joined the Thorellian Navy, using it as an opportunity to sail across the world, spending most of her young life searching for the whereabouts of her adoptive father to no avail.
