Sekir Nevg I
King Sekir Nevg, The Unifier
Sekir Nevg I, also known as Sekir Nevg the Unifier, was the the first ruler of a unified Kovaln, the Kindom of the Eight Anvils. He also established the system of Kovaln Kins through which the Kindom still is ruled.
Sekir Nevg was born as the eldest son of The Nevg patriarch Stitnevot Nevg during the final days of The Warring Clans Period. He was raised a warrior from an early age, as was the custom of clans in the Eight Anvils region during the time and showed a natural affinity for combat from the beginning.
After Sekir's Mesud, the Trial of Swords his father abdicated his position as the Patriarch of his family in favour of his eldest son, strongly believing in his vision of a unified Eight Anvils and his ability to make it a reality. Sekir himself wasted no time in getting started on this great project, proceeding to march to war within hours of becoming the Patriarch.
The following war, later to be known as The Ascension of Sekir, would go on occupy Sekir and his clan for two full cycles. However, the Patriarch's ruthlessness and tactical brilliance proved too much for his enemies. Slowly, but surely, he slaughtered his way through all those that opposed him, even entirely extinguishing some of the clans.
In the end, two of the clans remained too strong for even Sekir to subjugate: The Korenze and The Istokmit. At the same time, they too feared Sekir and so they each agreed to let him marry into them to unify the clans and end the long fought war. These marriages, to Rinsina Korenze and Malgo Istokmit thus marked the end of the Warring Clans Period and the beginning of the Kindom of Kovaln.
