Ground Shark

A apex beast of Solnater. Ground sharks are slumped, wide, muscular creatures that can reach a speed of 60km/h while running on land. At the very last moments of their assault they tend to launch them selves into a leap during which they can reach far higher speeds.    During the The Tempest and The Mirrors the sharks use the water to their advantage for fishing. In water they can reach the same 60k/h speeds in burst which is more than enough to catch the larger fish and other sea creatures.   A female shark can be of notable larger size than their male counter-part. They aslo are much stronger and usually live longer.   The sharks mate during The Draining. Each mating season begins with the female sharks establishing a territory for themselves. The male sharks then roam in Solnater seeking for the females who have marked their territory with mounds of partially melted poop.    Once a male shark arrives at the territory of a female they start searching for them, calling them out with a mating screech. If there already is a male with the shark due the sharks battle it out with a mating dance. If there is no male, the arrived male just performs the dance and waits for the females approval. A victories shark may stay while any others are forced to leave, by force when necessary.
