Books of Magic

The Books

The Books of Magic are stories and guides written by the Titans in 5875 BI. Released to Visctheria at the beginning of the Heroic Age, they took the mortals through their time on the world successfully, gaining them much popularity around the world. Distribution of these books led to the invention of the Copy Pen in early years after their writing, and allowed for many more leaps forward in science, travel, culture, and general progression.

Book of Xilios

Xilios wrote his Book on absolute power and the strategy for achieving such, leading his followers to victory across the globe. His Book is celebrated as a guide to maintaining controlled relationships, achieving high ranks in whatever career you choose, and how to climb your way up in a difficult world.

Book of Urus

Urus wrote his Book on the strategies of war, and the victory that can be obtained by following it. His dictations on maintaining peace also helped keep the Second Peace as long as it lasted, allowing for mortals to recover from the War of the Gods.

Book of Zolra

Zolra wrote her book on the benefits and types of fire, as well as how to properly utilize it in all cases. Battles, cooking, crafting, Zolra's Book covered it all. While fire was originally a gift from Athos, Zolra truly taught the mortals of Visctheria to use it to the best of their ability.

Book of Adona

Adona's Book covers the gifts of nature and how to put them to good use, including the flora and fauna of Visctheria. Her creations specifically headline the book, but all are included to allow for a more comprehensive mortal guide.

Book of Phorysus

The Book written by Phorysus is a deep gaze into psychology and emotion, often used by Arcanists to study the feelings and thoughts of mortals around the world. Her Book also covers how to properly control your emotions to your advantage - a section many followers skip.

Book of Vumir

Vumir's Book is on the bounties of the sea and sailing patterns, as well as how to properly navigate the dangerous waters of Visctheria. The various oceans are vastly different environments, and can trick even experienced sailors into letting down their guard.

Book of Dophine

Dophine's Book is written on the ways of Magic around Visctheria, and while Magic originates from Esbius, Dophine designed its use and power. Her ability with Magic, and lack of biasing loyalties to any other being, made her Book very interesting to many mages around Visctheria, who in the late Deific Age tended to travel alone.

Book of Enir

Enir's Book was written on the sky domain, as well as wind patterns and how to safely navigate using flight. Mostly used by the Kami until the invention of the Everian Airships , Enir's story has helped many where it was not previousy expected.

More on the Titans

Titans
Myth | Mar 23, 2024

The Titans were supposed to be the new generation of deities, the overarching victory of the Weave of Time.

The Titans of Visctheria destroyed the Visctherian Pantheon, and took over the world. They distributed the Books among the mortals, and ruled them carefully, guiding them through the years.

The Godsent

Interestingly enough, the Godsent are completely omitted from the Book of Zolra, only "discovered" - and documented - in later years by Ayda Northana.

Arcanists

Many Arcanists have studied the Books of Magic extensively, both in studying the impact of the Titans versus the Visctherian Pantheon on the world, and how the Books have influenced mortal progress over the Ages.
