- Anton, Tacito, and Fabian all meet as recruits for the Knights of the Purple Rose
- Along the way, we encounter Lucas Ferrum and Derek Wolfthorn, two other prospective recruits and childhood friends
- When we arrive at the HQ, The Swallow's Nest, we are greeted by Lieutenant Gratian Holst, who leads us to Captain James Snow
- Captain Snow shows us to Lieutenant Lukas Steele, who provides us with equipment; Lucas Ferrum gets his nickname "Lucy"
- When we get shown our dorms, we meet the final squire, a girl named Jade Quinque, or Quin
- The next morning, we are told that we are moving out immediately, as a Bright Prophet has supposedly appeared in Chartha and the knights are moving out to escort him to the Lot Krein in Indi
- James introduces us to his son Isaac, or Ike, and says that he will be in charge of the us.
- We will be joining a team of ~20 knights, led by James himself; if Ike proves himself, he might make Lieutenant
- The team ventures out to Chartha, where we meet with the supposed Bright Prophet, Wyren Sinnik, and 2 Bright Priests, Holt Sylenza and John Valentine
- Wyren enters a ceremonial wagon, and the convoy begins
- Several hours into the convoy, we are attacked by elves with scimitars and Derek drops dead
- We scatter, pulling a traumatized Lucy with us, and Valentine, Steele, and Holst are all killed
- An elf corners us, but Captain Snow sacrifices himself for us and for Ike, telling us to get the prophet to Indi safely
- Ike leads us to the temple, where Wyren Sinnik attempts to go through with the ritual
- Two strange entities are summoned, but they appear displeased, and the ritual fails as the false prophet drops dead
- Just then, the elves attack, lighting the temple on fire and surrounding us
- We climb to the roof in desperation; Holt, Quin, Lucy, and Ike jump off the cliff and into the Ocean below, but the roof caves in before we can follow
- The party dies broken and burning, not three days into what was supposed to be our illustrious career with the Knights of the Purple Rose
