Iridescent Swarmbird
Tiny, highly predatory birds native to Roos. Highly social creatures, they travel in swarms of up to 150 individuals. The iridescent sheen of their feathers allows them to better see each other in the pitch black of The Megalio. Highly developed eyesight also helps them to identify both friends and prey, which a swarm can reduce to bone in a matter of minutes. The muscles that power the rapid beating of their wings are also attached to their lower beak, allowing it to rapidly saw back and forth, tearing through skin and flesh like parchment.
