Chapter V: A Dragon?? In MY Dungeon?? It's More Likely than You Think
General Summary
- We continue to fight the ghasts, which group up near the center of the room and turn into a single, large grotesque dragon covered in eyeballs
- Aisa and Ambrose return to the hallway before the large room
- Ava finishes off the wraith and leaps across the platforms into the room before nearly taking out the remaining ghasts
- The dragon fires a beam which immobilizes those who are hit
- When Kai touches the dragon, it displaces everyone in range; we are able to grab onto ledges and pull ourselves up
- Ava defeats the dragon
- We try to see what's at the bottom of the pit, but cannot find the bottom
- On the other side, there is another hallway with more stair leading down
- Down the stairs, we find another room with a large pit and a small island in the center
- The platform is supported by a pillar and has something glowing on the underside
- Instead of crossing the pit, we turn back and try to return to the first floor to rest, but are met with a wall blocking us from the first pit; we short rest there
- Kai polymorphs into a giant owl and ferries the others across
- We descend the next staircase to find a floor with many long hallways and some force fields
- While exploring, we find a large room with a button
- The are indentations of where objects once rested
- We hear a clunking echo and follow it to find another button in a divot with red dots randomly sprinkled around the platform and walls
- When Ambrose turns the dial, the lights all go red and a low humming is heard; the dial flips back to its original position
- A large black mamba snake emerges from a tunnel and approaches; we run
- Ava finds another button, surrounded by a wall with faded symbols in purple, red, green, cyan, and blue colors
- The button is stuck
- Daenerys finds and presses another button, this one with green flecks; it pops back up
- Ava finds a cyan button; it clicks into place
