Neroc The Dark Acuran

The first Acuran of greed, chaos and evil. Neroc the Acuran spent his life wishing for the powers of The Elders of the Universe & attempted to take them for himself.   His mission was a failure, resulting in him being annihilated by one of the Elders, who shattered the lands of Violem creating the continents and islands which exist in the New Era.   His message and attempt sparked others to follow, originally naming themselves followers of Neroc, before changing to their current name Necromancers.

In the infancy of Acuran civilization, when magic was still being explored and experimented with. It was a peaceful and joyful life for most. But not for one,Neroc the Acuran who thought it unfair he did not have the power of the Elders. Why should they rule the universe for so long? Why couldn't he have their level of power? To control who lives and who dies with a wave of a hand.   So, he devised a plan to attract the attention of the Elders and take their power for his own. But when only one arrived, it showed no mercy and annihilated the Acuran with such force and destruction, it tore the lands of Violem apart. Dividing the Acurans into the continents of the present day, unable to reunite until hundreds of star cycles later.   The message which Neroc spoke resonated with others after his failure, which sparked an uprising in new forms of dark magic. Channeling anger, chaos, hatred and greed to complete selfish deeds. These followers of Neroc would later be known to Violem as Necromancers.
