Poetry is a form of creativity shared all across the realms, but one group of individuals dedicate their lives to express thoughts and feelings through the use of poetry. This group is known as the Wordsmiths of Wil-Am-Sae, named after the founding member born in the city of
Norpelda.
Although many attempt to write verses to share with the world what they feel, some of the best written works can be attributed to the wordsmiths. Below are just a few of the poems which have been published by the group and shared across the realm of magic.
The Price of Conflict by Anonymous
We all lose something in war,
Whether its physical, mind or soul,
I stand in piles of blood and gore,
We all lose something in war,
Thoughts spill out for I am broken at the core,
We all lose something in war,
Whether its physical, mind or soul.
Marubell by Alu-Ci
Stone cold to the touch
Life beats strong in building blocks
Petrified restored.
The Descent of Eir-Loah by Shaha-Gow
Descending into darkness below,
For people rely on actions deemed foolish,
But to stay in the warmth of a grotto,
Would lead down the path of something ghoulish.
Taking the plunge from cloud to land,
Lashing winds hack and slash at skin,
Finally able to feel the sensation of sand,
Leaving broken bones only cured by Djinn.
Traversing hills, mountains and caves,
Realising life has more to offer,
But staying on task he must brave the waves,
To find knowledge hidden within a coffer.
Return to the beginning by walking on air,
To share skils past onto the heir.
