Passion Dime

Love was in the air and swirling all around. With various heart shaped bunting hanging from one window to another, confetti littering the floor with colours of white and purple and couples holding hands everywhere you looked. You try to find your lover who told you to meet at the fountain when the dawn star was highest in the sky. But they were nowhere in sight. Did they forget? Did they mean a different fountain?   All of a sudden you felt a light tap on your shoulder, turning around to see the love of your life with a beaming smile on their face. from their pocket, they pull a small glass case that is clearer than crystal. Inside the square case sat a glistening silver coin with small fancy text. Your heart starts begins to melt as you begin reading the words out loud. 'Will you marry me?'

Passion dimes are unique silver coins often presented as gifts from one partner to another as a sign of affection. Often being engraved with something personal on one side such as the initials of a loved one, family coat of arms or personalized images. Some people add complexity to their dimes by bestowing enchantments to add additional spectacle. With effects such as glowing whilst in the presence of their lover.   The dimes are a common sight during the festival of Sualea. A celebration of love and admiration of others, dedicated to the Acuran of Love herself. They also appear as a common wedding or anniversary present as a sign of affection. The process of using a single silver coin and crafting something personal and meaningful makes it so that anyone can show their love for another.
I still remember my first dime. My now husband spent all week tinkering at his workbench, refusing to let me into the wagon without fumbling to hide it from me. But when he finally presented it, ooh. It was truly magical, I haven't let it leave my pocket ever since.
