The military might of Vering-Gol
Through the Veringean Guard, Vering-Gol will see victory against all its opposition
It is comprised of three types of forces
Penal Legions
Forces used as expendable troops for the taking of enemy strong points. These forces are rigorously controlled by the mages of the commissariat. The non-magic users and, on rare occasion, mages are taught to fear the commissars much more than any enemy they may face. While the enemy will only kill you, a member of the commissariat is specifically trained in mental magic and will flay your mind open, turning you into a ravening beast known as a Hatecaller.
Levied Forces Forces conscripted from the populace of Vering-Gol, and oftentimes poorly trained.
Brigades of the Bloodward
These brigades are comprised solely of war mages and are viewed as a type of special forces. The units are small, but expertly trained to cover each other in battle. They are oftentimes used to enact rituals in the midst of large battles and have been reported to have cast magics far beyond the scope of that considered possible by a singular practitioner.
Their spellbooks are considered national secrets, and there is a standing bounty by Ibral for even one of the spellbooks, to the sum of 10,000 orichalcum pieces
