New Rothgardians

New Rothgardians refer to residents of the city of New Rothland, located in the eastern continent of Etherios. New Rothgard became one of the most economically successful cities in the realm in a short duration from its conception. It serves as one of the leading distributors of natural oils in the realm, providing lighting, cleaning of military instruments, and various effect-based oils to assist more specific customers. The wealthy city developed a stereotyped snarky personality amongst the rest of the world. Swapping the term 'Fat Cat' to 'Fat Dog'.

History

In the aftermath of The Night of the Hundred Howls, the former human residents of Rothgard, who were cursed into primal beasts with their mind and soul still intact, fled the country to avoid the possibility of high officials such as the Witch Hunter Guild from hunting them down for slaughter. Their own ostracization led them to the shores of Etherios, trying to rebuild the world they left behind.
Within the masses of Lycans and Ursads, various aristocratic families were part of the migration, leaving their life of luxury for the sake of survival. However, their strong business and trading knowledge which led them to their regal-like lifestyle would be the catalyst to a monopoly on the realm.
With the finding of new sources of oils in new lands and refinement techniques by alchemists, The businessmen of New Rothgard had a one-of-a-kind product to give to the world. Income from profits would be funneled into the cities treasury; allowing the development of reinforced buildings, education for new generations, and a stabilized social class structure with minimal working-class residents. 
The fast development plans allowed New Rothgard to catch up with other high economic cities, even being on par with its unofficial sister city Rothgard.

The marshlands were a contrast compared to the rich fields of the Centrelands. The sickly trees, spongy ground, and humid environment were a challenge to many Lycans and Ursads. Settlements were established nearby, wherein alchemists noticed the potency of natural oils with the trunks of the native trees and pools of slippery substances. 
This discovery leads to its potential. With an open market looking for a high-quality product to improve their life, the businessmen and women of New Rothgard took the opportunity to fast-track back to a sense of normalcy in their life. Through marketing and distribution deals, the New Rothgardian Oils became a worldwide staple.
