The Forgemaster, God of Labor

Represents: Craftsmanship, innovation, and honest labor
Worship: Artisans and laborers pray for skill and inspiration. Temples often include workshops. Offerings are typically handcrafted items or tools.

Physical Appearance:

Forgemaster is depicted as a broad-shouldered figure with skin that gleams like polished bronze. Their arms are corded with muscle, and their hands are large and calloused. They have a face etched with lines of concentration, fiery eyes that glow like embers, and hair that seems to flicker like flames. Forgemaster is often shown wearing a heavy leather apron covered in scorch marks and holding a massive hammer in one hand and intricate clockwork in the other.

Pleases:

  • Skillful craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • Innovation and invention
  • Hard work and perseverance
  • Teaching and passing on skills to apprentices
  • Respect for tools and materials

Displeases:

  • Laziness and shoddy workmanship
  • Hoarding knowledge or refusing to train others
  • Wanton destruction of crafted items
  • Exploitation of workers
  • Using one's craft for purely selfish or harmful purposes

Temple/Worship Site:

Forgemaster's temples are a combination of workshop, school, and place of worship. The central area is dominated by a massive forge, always lit and tended by devoted craftspeople. Surrounding this are various workstations for different crafts - metalworking, woodworking, weaving, and more. The walls are lined with shelves displaying masterwork items created by worshippers. An upper level houses classrooms and a library of technical manuals and blueprints. The air is filled with the sounds of hammering, sawing, and the hiss of the forge, along with the scents of various materials being worked.
Simple Shrine:
A simple shrine to Forgemaster might be a small anvil or workbench with carefully arranged tools, often found in workshops or at crossroads frequented by travelers.
