Ironjaw, God of Strength and Honor

Represents: Physical and moral strength, justice, oaths, and warfare
Worship: Warriors and judges pay homage through feats of strength and upholding of oaths. Rituals often involve weapon blessing ceremonies and trials of combat or endurance.
Impact of Word of Krar: Ironjaw's position remains strong, but his domain of honor has been reinterpreted through the lens of the Word of Krar, emphasizing the strength to discern truth from deception.

Physical Appearance:

Ironjaw is portrayed as a muscular orc warrior with a prominent, metallic lower jaw - the source of his name. His body bears numerous scars, each a testament to battles fought with honor. He's often depicted wearing minimal armor, showcasing his physical strength, and carrying a massive warhammer.

Pleases:

  • Displays of physical and moral strength
  • upholding oaths
  • facing challenges head-on
  • protecting the weak.

Displeases:

  • Breaking oaths
  • using strength to bully others
  • avoiding just challenges
  • dishonesty in combat or competition.

Temple/Worship Sites:

Ironjaw's temples are fortress-like structures with high, sturdy walls. They feature large, open courtyards for physical training and ritual combat. The interiors are adorned with weapons and armor of legendary warriors. Halls of Justice within these temples serve as places for settling disputes and swearing solemn oaths.
Simple Shrine:
A shrine to Ironjaw might be a simple stone altar placed in a location that requires strength to reach, such as atop a hill or at the end of a challenging path. The altar would bear his symbol (typically a stylized jaw or warhammer) and would be surrounded by weapons or rocks as offerings. A brazier for burning offerings of food or incense is often present, symbolizing the strength of one's conviction.
