Great Sen Expansion
The Great Sen Expansion was not, as it might first appear, one war. The expansion was a long string of minor conflicts, each with the aim of gaining a bit more land and resources than previously. Kingdom of Sen had been a small player, facing against a multitude of minor Cul and Rar states existing in the Great Northern Vi'Dan Plain. Expansionist policies have been favoured by Kings and advisors of the Sen since around the mid 300's, though it took until roughly 400 AC before the Kingdom really began its expansion.
The Conflict
Prelude
The long oppressive policies by the Cul and Rar kingdoms against The Sen were deemed to be the reason for the retribution, as well as the Sen desire for security against outside threats. Other factors include the desire for more natural resources, as the land around the Sen forest lacked any iron mines of reasonable size.
Outcome
The complete destruction or eviction of many Cul communities. Outward hostility towards the Kingdom by its neighbours
Aftermath
The rapid growth of the kingdom is considered to be the greatest single cause of the ethnic unification of all major ethnicities in North Vi'Dan, the period following 500 AC was one of great ethnic unity and the focus was, for the first time, shifted from local lords to a common culture. This is significant as it would not happen for a much longer time period (technologically speaking) in our world.
