Illustrus Academy

The Illustrus Academy is one of the two founding principal institutions by which the City-State of Mytherin is built on. Mytherin was founded by the elven sisters Mythra and Illustra. While Mythra went on to form the primary ranks of the government in this flourishing city, Illustra formed an educational institution in order to teach the residents of the city magic. 

 To this day the academy is heavily intertwined with the government institutions within Mytherin. Any citizen within the city who shows magical promise is offered free education at the academy as long as they continually prove their aptitude. Meanwhile the remaining ranks of the academy come in from outside of the city, of which there is a heavy pull of magical talent. Many mages from Aristania who either fail to or choose not to enroll within the apprentice system enroll within the Illustrus Academy.

Structure

The Academy is based heavily around their magic type classification separation. Each type of magic has its own primary building, along with a program head. Above them all is the Headmaster who can override their decisions as wished.
