Grimthorne Hall is one of England’s oldest and most prestigious boarding schools, nestled atop the mist-covered moors of Northumberland. Founded by Lord Everard Grimthorne as a place of learning for “the sons of England’s finest,” it has remained fiercely traditional — and quietly notorious.
Culture
Student Body
Exclusively male. Most students are from the upper echelons of British society — sons of viscounts, dukes, and diplomats. A place where old blood and older expectations meet the rebellious fire of youth.
House System
Students are sorted into four Houses, each with distinct colors and philosophies:
- Alderwick (Red & Gold) – Courage and Honor
- Ebonmere (Black & Silver) – Discipline and Ambition
- Marrowind (Green & Bronze) – Curiosity and Innovation
- Virehall (Blue & White) – Tradition and Loyalty
Assets
Grimthorne Hall
A sprawling Gothic estate with ivy-clad turrets, vaulted halls, and leaded windows. A massive stone library, candlelit chapel, and subterranean tunnels beneath the east wing provide equal parts education and unease. Rumors of ghostly apparitions and secret societies are passed down in hushed tones.
